Kaylin + Chandler
I had the honor of shooting Kaylin and Chandler's wedding in June, and what a wedding it was! Not only was I honored with shooting their wedding, but I also got to shoot their engagement session. They have such natural chemistry and love for each other, which made them dream clients!
The Beginning of Forever
Kaylin and Chandler met at church. What a perfect place to meet your soul mate! They had been going to the same church for several years but had never talked. Kaylin finally decided to talk to Chandler, and the rest is history!
The Proposal
I asked Kaylin their proposal story: Chandler told me that he had a day trip planned for us, so I showed up to his house ready to go. Before we left, we got a call from his mom telling us to go down to the creek on the property to check on something. When we got there, Chandler’s cousin was coincidentally by the creek and offered to take pictures of us. Chandler proposed! He had an engagement party planned with both of our families and surprised me with it afterwards!
The Wedding
Kaylin chose a minimalistic wedding theme, which was stunning! She wanted a simple, yet elegant wedding. There were 150 guests, all showing their love and support for the couple.
Kaylin's favorite part of her wedding day: It’s between our last dance and walking down the aisle and seeing Chandler for the first time. Both moments were so special. I felt like we were the only two people there! I think everything about the day was a little unexpected in some way! Even though I spent months planning the perfect day, I was still pleasantly surprised at the way everything came together. It was truly the perfect day and a dream come true!

Planning
Kaylin's favorite part of planning was when she checked things off the list and watching things come to life!
Her advice to brides about planning: Plan things for just the two of you on your wedding day. I’m SO glad that we included our last dance, because it was a moment that Chandler and I shared only with each other. It was one of the best parts of the whole day and it gave us time to appreciate the real meaning of the day. Keeping things simple! There were so many big ideas I had for the day, but in the end, all I really wanted was a celebration of our love for each other. I told myself that it was okay to let some ideas go.
